Shiraz Jardin Des Vins

Overrated place. Nice ambience due to interesting interior design but the place is full of old Dutch people making unnecessary comments about foreign guests and requesting to get a table without being in a line cause they are local. Lol. Waiters were very attentive and friendly. Always passed by to ask if we need anything and if everything was okay. Offered wine pairings. Food wasn’t good. Pasta was overcooked, dry and lacked salt. I asked for salt three times but was brought after I Almost finished my dinner. Shiraz platter had good bread and cheese. The rest was so so. At the end we have been overcharged. Had an additional bottle of wine on our bill. When this was brought to their attention they gave us cash back and asked to free the table cause they want to give it to other people.

This one is the one to go to. I’m talking: Intimate I’m talking: fancy I’m talking: cozy I’m talking: gezellig The wines: amazing The service: amazing Food portions: could be bigger The atmosphere: just right. I recommend for the wine. It can be quite expensive experience, so I would not go with the intent of dining (specially since I find the portions quite small). But go with the intent on enjoying a good wine, sitting outside for the canal view, or inside for a very cozy experience. I’d go there for a date, and I’d go with girlfriends to chat.

Came in as a walk-in just before 1700 and was seated immediately. I found the host and other waitstaff very friendly. Did not order any main dishes as my friend and I were only in there for a wine and some appetizers, but they had a good wine selection and appetizers were tasty. I think this would be a good date spot or after work drinks spot. There’s even what looks like a wine tasting area in the back.

CHECK YOUR BILL. Great atmosphere and the waiters are lovely, as is the wine, but feel obligated to leave a review because I’ve been here three times and all three times they have incorrectly added something not ordered to our bill. I now see another review saying they had the same experience. Shame as I would otherwise recommend it.

Super cute wine bar along a canal - very romantic vibes! We sat inside as it was a bit chilly, but on a decent day; would love to try to sit outside. The venue is so cozy and warm feeling, candles and mood lighting was a nice touch. We ordered a charcuterie board, which was very good and had two different white wines (Barabao was not in stock that evening). Service was a bit slow but it was a Friday night, so that’s a bit understandable. We were sitting with empties for a good half hour and just decided to leave. Hope to visit on a slower pace day!
